Haldane code
Haldane, Haldane Child and Haldane Toolkit are copyright © 2026 Haldane Studio. Their code is distributed under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later (GPLv2+). Read the included GPL version 2 text. Keep copyright and licence notices when redistributing covered work.
The same GPL text is provided for the included TGM Plugin Activation library. This credits page identifies included resources; it does not change any separate terms stated by the marketplace for your purchase.
Fonts: SIL Open Font License 1.1
All four font families are bundled locally. Using the theme does not require a request to Google Fonts. These links identify the source projects and the exact licence copies supplied with the product.
| Font | Copyright and source | Licence text |
|---|---|---|
| Newsreader | Copyright 2020 The Newsreader Project Authors. Font source. | Newsreader OFL.txt |
| Hanken Grotesk | Copyright 2021 The Hanken Grotesk Project Authors. Font source. | Hanken Grotesk OFL.txt |
| Young Serif | Copyright 2023 The Young Serif Project Authors. Font source. | Young Serif OFL.txt |
| Bricolage Grotesque | Copyright 2022 The Bricolage Grotesque Project Authors. Font source. | Bricolage Grotesque OFL.txt |
The OFL files include each project's copyright notice and the full font licence. This documentation uses local Newsreader and Hanken Grotesk files from the theme.
TGM Plugin Activation
TGM Plugin Activation provides the optional recommended-plugin installation screen. It is licensed under GPLv2 or later. The library retains its author and contributor notices in haldane/inc/class-tgm-plugin-activation.php. See the included GPL text.
Placeholder illustrations and preview photos
The illustrated placeholders in the download were created for Haldane by Haldane Studio and are licensed under GPLv2 or later. They are in the theme's assets/images/ folder. The screenshots in this guide show only those bundled illustrations.
Live-demo photographs are for preview only and are not included in the download. Replace illustrations with your own licensed photographs. A preview image is not permission to copy a photograph into your site.
Optional plugins and services
Hotel Booking Lite by MotoPress is recommended as an optional WordPress.org download. It is not part of the Haldane codebase, and no premium plugin is bundled. Installed plugins keep their own licences and notices.
OpenStreetMap is an optional click-to-load external map service. Its map attribution remains inside the loaded embed. Booking providers and email services are external services you choose and configure, not bundled libraries.
A plain-text inventory is included as third-party.txt.
